Why do they call those Somali pirates "Pirates" when they dont say "Arrrgh Shiver me Timbers" and no peg legs?
and no pirate hats and no parrots on their shoulders. They dont have pirate ships just small boats. They dont go looking for pirate treasure and they dont say "Yo ho ho and a bottle of rum, Arrrrgh....." Arent they a disgrace to "Pirates"

Ancient pirates were no better - its only that they have been glamourised by non-sailors. I shall shoot and with no hesitation any pirate that jumps on my boat. I think it is very wrong to look-up to pirates of any age. The sea is a free place to roam without these snivelling people.

When ship builders build boats they have to soak the timber in cold water before they fit the timber together because they shrink in cold water. If the pieces were fitted at normal temp. and then put in the cold water the ship would leak. This process is called shivering the timbers.
